Titanium Conical Screw Posts are tapered, threaded metal posts manufactured from biocompatible titanium alloy, the gold standard material for patients with metal sensitivities or for any clinician who prioritizes biocompatibility in their restorative protocol. Unlike standard nickel-bearing alloys, titanium releases no nickel ions in the oral environment, produces minimal corrosion at the post–dentine interface, and is fully MRI-compatible. The conical (tapered) body design follows the natural anatomical taper of most root canals, preserving more apical dentine than a parallel-walled cylindrical post would require. This anatomical match reduces the wedging stress that can promote vertical root fracture in long-term function. The exterior is machined with low-profile threads that engage prepared dentine for high mechanical retention, and the coronal cross-head (cruciform) recess accepts a standard cross-key driver and allowing controlled, torque-limited insertion. This refill pack provides single-size posts to replenish existing Nordin or compatible kit inventory. A matched-diameter conical reamer is required to prepare the canal before insertion, and the cross-key driver is sold separately. Indicated for patients with documented nickel allergy, restorations where MRI compatibility is required, and any case where the clinician prefers titanium's biocompatibility profile over standard alloys.
